Unwind and Create
App Design, Visual Design, UX/UI
The Purpose: To design an app and brochure that combines privacy with the ability to express one’s self through art. The focus group for this project was emerging adult college students in the Northern California region. Ages 18 to 25 are a very crucial time in a young adult’s life, it is important to create a sense of peace, have outreaches, and have access to art tools; whether that be making art on the phone itself or using physical materials.
Note: I worked on this project independently under the supervision of Design Professor Richardo Gomez, San Francisco State University.
The wireframe and navigation helped present a basic walk-through of the use and app process. As well as present a “real-time” step-by-step demonstration of the App and Brochure being used by the focus group and beneficiaries. I also made sure to create a storyboard that would help present a visual interaction between the user and the App itself. The illustrations also demonstrate the use of the app and brochure in real-world situations.
When designing the activity section it was important to provide projects users could follow step by step. They could create on the app itself or be able to draw on physical materials. Each activity is set up differently while providing the user to have full freedom in their artistic decisions.
